Review:
Tons of fascinating tidbits of history! This is a really engaging book that really got my child interested in history. It's not a timeline, but rather 100 interesting facts (and detailed explanations). The info is very interesting, like why midnight snacks used to be common in medieval times, that toddlers were on the battlefield in the Mexican Revolution, how the biggest bomb ever didn't go on to kill anyone, and how some slaves became famous and helped abolish slavery. My son continually picks the book up and re-reads various sections, and then loves to tell me all about them. And since I don't know a lot of this info myself, he really loves that he can teach me something cool. I'd say this is a great choice for 7 years and up.
