A German/English word book with one hundred everyday words illustrated in busy scenes and with labelled pictures to help young children learn key Spanish vocabulary.
Delightfully illustrated by Stephen Cartwright with lots to look at and talk about, and a yellow duck to find on each double page.
Includes an alphabetical German/English word list with pronunciation guide, and readers can also listen to all the words read aloud by a native Spanish speaker at the Usborne Quicklinks website.
Each two page spread contains a large picture of a familiar situation - in the kitchen, in the living room, at the pool. At the top of every big, detailed picture you will find the names, and smaller pictures, of some of the objects shown. Your child will enjoy matching the small pictures with their counterparts in the double page spread. This encourages the direct association of the word with the object, making it easy to read new words, and reinforces words already known.
There are lots of familiar things to find and name, situations to talk about, and chances to guess what will happen next. There are also many opportunities for counting groups of objects, and for finding matching pairs.
