We carry the entire range of books and software published by The Critical Thinking Company.  They guarantee higher test scores on national and state assessments if you use the correlated educational products listed under the test name to the left.

The products sold here are written to the standards of the National Council of Teachers.  As such they teach expected grade level knowledge in the main subject areas.  Choose the appropriate level of Reading Detective (reading comprehension) and Math Detective (mathematics) in book or software and then add products specific to your state.  For example, some states test science and some grammar while others include a component of thinking skills.

One title not included in any of these lists which I recommend for all testing in Mind Benders.  Mind Benders teach deductive logic.  This is a skill use to make headway when you read a question and don't know the answer.  Deductive logic enables you to eliminate (a) and (b) (for example) as clearly false enabling you to improve your probability of guessing correctly by choosing (c) or (d).   Most children enjoy solving Mind Benders puzzles.  Checking that you've got the correct solution to your Mind Bender puzzle provides practice in proof reading and checking test answers.  Finally the type of reading required to solve these puzzles - every word matters - is exactly what is required for multi-choice testing.
