Description   The OLSAT® Prep Bundle for Grade 2 contains a selection of books chosen by The Critical Thinking Company to use in preparation for the Otis-Lennon School Abilities Test® (OLSAT®). The Critical Thinking Company recommends this bundle for children currently in Grade 2 testing for entry to Grade 3. Titles included are Building Thinking Skills® Level 1 Math Analogies Book 1 Mathematical Reasoning Level C Mind Benders Book 2 Thinking Skills for Tests OLSAT® Test Prep Guide (2 page document) More information about the individual books and sample pages can be found by browsing the individual titles. For any title click on "more info" and then the "sample pages" tab to get a look inside. Each activity requires students to analyze, synthesize, and apply what they learn. In our opinion The Critical Thinking Company selections are suitable for use with a typically developing child in Grade 2 being tested for entry to Grade 3. If you have a gifted child, particularly one who is reading fluently, we strongly recommend browsing our specific selections for the OLSAT® or considering our Test Preparation Bundles for Gifted Children taking the OLSAT®. Gifted children by definition have cognitive skills two or more years ahead of those of their peers. In our opinion your gifted Second Grade student will find the contents of this bundle fairly simple and will not be exposed to questions as difficult as the most difficult ones they'll face when tested. This bundle would be suitable if you are planning ahead for a gifted Kindergartener or have a typically performing First Grader. If you are hoping that your kindergarten child will score in the 70th percentile or above then it would be appropriate to expose them to higher level material than the contents of this bundle.
