The contents of each of The Critical Thinking Company's grade level bundle are based on national performance standards for that grade level. If you have a gifted child they're probably doing advanced math and working at a higher level than their peers in other areas. You don't need a grade level math book and you almost certainly need a higher level of Building Thinking Skills than would be used by the average child of your child's age.

It is not at all uncommon for children to be working at different levels in different materials. Your child might be ready for 8th grade vocabulary, 4th grade math and 6th grade block design. If you have a limited amount of time a bundle might seem like an easy purchase choice to ensure that you get wide topic coverage but your child's time would be better spent if you spent more time at the beginning choosing material at a level which will challenge your child without frustrating them (remembering that the WISC test is unusual in that testing will continue with questions of increasing difficulty until your child gets questions wrong. If they have skills and knowledge well above age level expectations they'll get an opportunity to demonstrate that).

The mix of material is heavy on math and logic and misses some areas of testing like memory and processing speed entirely.
